What We Do

Our work revolves around three principles: Disruption, Decolonization & Democratization.

Disrupting Narratives.

DHDI is working with civil society organizations to expand the digital health narrative of individual consumers to community digital ownership.

Decolonizing Global Health Strategies.

With a focus on operationalizing decolonial theory into practice, we work alongside partners to advance alternatives to data colonialism. By creating greater data ownership locally, we aim to create new intersections between digital utilization and building community power.

Democratizing Health Evidence Across Education Levels.

We are designing translations of cutting-edge evidence, which prioritize actionable evidence responsive to communities experiencing frequent survival tradeoffs between individual and family needs.

How We Work

We work as a nimble, virtual network of global staff, field collaborators, academic partners & individual volunteers. This enables us to keep overheads low and maintain our primary focus on solving big problems with our community collaborators.
